Lake’s Sewing Center Presents The Southwest “Hands
On Sewing Embroidery & Quilting Conference October
10 - 14, 2006 in Phoenix, AZ. Featuring Eileen Roche,
television personality, author, lecturer, teacher, designer,
expert embroiderer and Editor of “Designs” Magazine.
Eileen is celebrated as one of the true experts in the
field of home sewing and embroidery. She will be sharing
her time saving tips and tricks that will have your work
looking professional in no time. She has taught many teachers,
as well as individuals and the result is always the same.
Success! Eileen will be joined by Linda McGehee,
TV personality, author, teacher and designer. Linda has
a diverse sewing background with 40 years experience from
garments to handbags, piecing to heirloom, surface manipulation
to combining a variety of methods into a sampler of various
techniques. Linda is an award winning author, two of her
books have won the PCM award and another was up for the
award, and he garments have been in the Fairfield and
Bernina Style Shows. Her classes are informative and lots
of fun. Jodi Barrows TV Personality, nationally
known quilting teacher, speaker and writer. Jodi has spoken
to quilting audiences throughout the United States, Canada
and Australia. She has appeared as a guest on several
quilting shows, including TNN’s Aleene’s Creative
Living; TNN’s Your Home Studio; Perfecting Patchwork
on Family Net TV and PBS series with Kaye Wood. HGTV has
shown her commercial on the quilting techniques she has
developed on the Simply Quilts show. Jodi has written
fourteen books, produced four tools, two video/DVD’s
and five teacher’s books. Walter Floriani,
a fifth generation digitizer. Walter is owner and operator
of Floriani Embroidery Designs. He has been acclaimed
as one of the best digitizers in the world. He has taught
thousands of professional embroiders that operate commercial
embroidery businesses throughout the United States. Walt
maintains a full time embroidery consulting business as
well as Floriani’s Fun Club. These great teachers
will be joined by a host of industry educators, the list
of which is still growing!!!! Classes will be taught on
Singer, Viking, Pfaff, Janome, Elna, Artista, Brother,
BabyLock, Bernette, and Generations software. This conference
will offer challenges to the most advanced seamstress,
quilter or embroiderer and will encourage the beginner
to believe in their own ability!!
